Fire Retardant Sprays are typically clear, water-based saturants that soak into the material and bond with the fibers. Once applied, you will notice very little change in appearance. Unless otherwise noted, retardants last until they are washed out. Exterior fire retardants are polymer-based, which means they do not 'weather out' after exposure to the elements.
